The Brazoria County Dream Center is a community outreach center dedicated to helping families and individuals in Brazoria County who are expericencing hardships. The Dream Center provides avenues of healing to the souls of hurting humanity in Brazoria County, Texas. By addressing basic physcial and spiritual needs, we can rebuild hope, renew lives, and restore dreams.

Ministries of BCDC
 
 
Elaine's Boutique
Mondays 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Providing families with free clothing, tolietries, diapers and household items.
 
 
 
Backpack Buddies
Thursdays 8:30 am
Providing backpacks with nutritious meals and snacks to children who might otherwise not have adequate food over the weekend. Children are identified by their teachers, school counselors or nurse. This program is based on referrals from school personnel.
 
 
Mobile Pantry
4th Mondays 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm 
Providing nutritional food to Brazoria County residents who need additional assistance. 
 
BCDC Farmer's Market  
Once per quarter on Saturdays
Distribution of fresh fruits, vegetables, and other food items to Brazoria County residents who need additional assistance with food. Social service agency booths wll be available wth valuable resources.     
 
Back 2 Basic Classes  
Tuesdays 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm   six-week sessions
Providing classes to improve educational and basic life skills, and other resources to enhance individuals potential to succeed. Such as, basic computer skills, cooking, budgeting, and sewing skills. Call the Dream Center for details.
 
Back to School Bash
2nd Saturday in August 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
Providing school age children with the items they need to start school, such as school supplies, clothes, shoes, and tolietries. Also, providing services such as haircuts, immunizations, vision screenings, etc.
 
Coats For Kids
1st Saturday in November
Distributing coats to Brazoria County children.

Donations
 
Supplies
If you would like to donate supplies to the Dream Center, you may do so every Monday from 8:30 am till 6:00 pm. Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. till 2:30 pm.
Closed for lunch from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm. We have also provided a donation bin at Family Life Church for your convenience. You may drop off your donations before or after regularly scheduled service times.
 

The following is a list of items currently needed at the Dream Center: gently used clothing, toiletry items such as; laundry soap, dish soap, shampoo,bath soap, toothpaste, and household items such as; dishes, cups, blankets, and towels.

Ministries at BCDC
 
River Of Hope
Wednesdays 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Benevolence program helping those who need assistance with rent and/or utilities. Applications are available at the Brazoria County Dream Center. For more informaiton go to www.riverofhopetx.org
 
Live Oak Clinic
Thursday 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Helping uninsured individuals with their healthcare needs, who do not qualify for Medicare, Medicaid or CHIP programs and who cannot afford private health insurance.
Cost is $5 per visit and lab fees are extra.
Eligibility screening begins at 4:30 p.m., clinic hours are 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. For more information go to www.liveoakclinic.org
 
 
Crystal Crafters
Tuesdays 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm
A Vision clinic providing eye care and glasses to those who can not afford necessary eye care and do not have Medicaid, Medicare, CHIPS or private insurance. Exam cost is $5 per visit, $10 for single vision glasses and $20 for bifocal glasses. Eligibility screening begins at 2:30 p.m., clinic hours are 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

FLC Outreach

Sharing and Caring
Sharing and Caring- a food ministry that provides 2-3 days worth of groceries to families in need. Recipients can receive their sacks of groceries after each service at Family Life Church.

Patriot Dreams
A ministry for families and their loved ones who are serving or have served in the U.S. military. We would like to know who you are if you or someone in your family is an active or retired member of the military.

Dream Sowers
A group of volunteers who teaches basic sewing skills to children at a local daycare every Friday at 4:00 pm. This group also teaches basic sewing to those who want to learn at the Brazoria County Dream Center.
